Found the OP from your RT. This may seem harsh in general, but I think quite relevant to the discussion: I don’t give a single shit what someone in 1955 thought about political/cultural/societal discourse. The Civil Rights Act didn’t even exist yet.

Why anyone would believe the 1950s are an even half-relevant conversation piece w/ regards to how people think/feel in 2020 is beyond me.
