“The right and the left both cancel; it’s just that today’s right is too weak to do it effectively”? I call bullshit on this claim. The right is VERY effective at “canceling,” arguably far more so than the left. It uses the government and right wing media, after all.

Yep. The warriors against “cancel culture” seem almost never to care about “cancelling” by the right nearly as much as they care about “cancelling” by the much weaker left. When they complain about it, it’s almost always because the formerly voiceless are actually being heard.
