I can think of lots of reasons they have a lower case fatality rate (which was 2.6% compared to the UK’s 14%, BTW). Different population age, case definitions, data quality, UK hospitals were more overwhelmed. Turkey has done well with distancing and minimizing crowds too.

The UK responded late to the outbreak and have totally failed with track, trace & isolate. Covid patients were sent back to nursing homes with no precautions in place. I think it is way more about the failure of the UK than the wonders of HCQ.
