At the time our Founding Fathers lived, people believed diseases like #COVID19 were due to miasmas and that the treatment for many diseases involved toxic metals and bloodletting; so I'm not sure how relevant they would have done in a pandemic is to 2020.

Some of the first laws passed were for quarantines and if you didn't obey you were jailed. First mass vaccination done in about 1837 against smallpox - so I think they knew
