Yep. I was in high school and college in the late 1970s and early 1980s; so to me it would be like me in 1978 listening to music then from the 1920s. Of course, not very many good recordings of music from the 1920s were easily available 40 years ago.
Good point. Though as a kid in the ‘60s and ‘70s, we wouldn’t have been caught dead listening to anything more than 10 or so years old. Nowadays many young people regularly listen to stuff 40 or 50 years old.
That's true, and it's not necessarily a bad thing. The change is actually rather amazing.
