Antivaxxer @delbigtree posted a rant denying the severity of #COVID19 and blaming the chronically ill for having made themselves vulnerable through their lifestyle choices. It's antivaxxers vs. public health.https://respectfulinsolence.com/2020/06/29/antivaxxers-covid-19-deniers-public-health/ …

He’s channeling fear to his base, that they can control or prevent chronic illness. But it’s unavoidable sometimes. And that terrifies them. They constantly search for a boogie man to blame because they cannot handle the truth- humans get sick and die. We don’t get a timetable.

Obesity is not the #1 reason for Covid deaths. Sure they are vulnerable than healthy people, but it is not #1 vulnerability. Using that is a dishonest argument to point lifestyle choices for covid deaths. You can't control diabetes as it can be inherited, so are other conditions.

Did I say that you did? We are talking about an anti-vaxxer making an argument that people's lifestyle is responsible for covid deaths, when its not even close. So, you bringing up Obsesity, as if that contributes to this argument is what may objection is to.

Oh please - that's just a bad faith representation of his argument. He is basically "blaming the chronically ill for having made themselves vulnerable to severe disease through their lifestyle choices" - cannot argue generalizations with specificity.

Yes. Del Bigtree explicitly IS blaming the chronically ill, while denying that’s what he’s doing. I transcribed the relevant passage.pic.twitter.com/YnJhbfvMwx

I mean, seriously, just stop. You clearly didn’t bother to read the post if you think Bigtree wasn’t victim blaming those who get really stuck with #COVID19,🙄🤦🏻‍♂️
