It's not celebrating the drug's failure, it's relief after the frustration of watching EBM fail to curb dangerous public hype. EBM is literally designed to avoid this, and have us the signals, yet everyone ignored it and lost their minds. This isn't 'hoorah!', it's 'finally!'.

Exactly. There are literally hundreds of clinical trials of this drug registered, far more than justified by the very modest scientific promise it seemed to show four months ago.
