All assertions are false, except #5, which is a distortion that leaves out a critical piece of information. No one says masks stop viral particles, but viruses floating free in the air is not how #COVID19 spreads. It spreads through respiratory droplets, which are MUCH larger.https://twitter.com/tinfoilmask/status/1274107468776382464 …

Especially impressed by the logic in “masks are so effective they stop oxygen from getting through but so ineffective that they let much larger viruses just wander on in.”

Plus if you take 5 to be true, it requires 1-3 to be false, since the virus is orders of magnitude larger than oxygen and carbon dioxide.

Let alone that masks don't even work like a giant sieves, they're much more complex at that scale, but this graphic isn't even internally consistent. Virus is too small to block with large pore size, but oxygen, 1,000X smaller, is stopped by the mask?

Yes, that is one of the main inconsistencies in the claims of anti-mask conspiracy theorists.

Point 1 says this: "Breathing through a mask decreases the amount of oxygen we need to live and be healthy" Does that mean a mask makes our lungs more efficient? #PedanticPete

Thanks to clumsy writing, the first one says wearing a mask causes us to need less oxygen.
