Oh, and one more thing: Those claiming I was trying to avoid the issue were full of
. It takes even me a few hours to write one of my 4,000 word posts. While you thought you were taunting me, I was writing, and smiling.

Finally, unlike some people who are wrong about something—cough, cough, Very Eminent Rising Star in Oncology—I'm not going to go back and delete my Tweets about this study, even though they now embarrass me. I understand the temptation, but I won't do it.

One more thing. There are still plenty of observational studies that strongly suggest that
#Hydroxychloroquine probably doesn't work against#COVID19. Even with the Surgisphere/Lancet study gone, that doesn't change. Wait for the RCTs, and don't use the drug outside of an RCT.Show this thread -
Also, I will block trolls and bots posting after this Twitter thread. I'll take my lumps for my previous error, but that doesn't mean I have to tolerate trolls and bots.

What ? You can be wrong ? You are not an expert like Didier Raoult then. He is never wrong.pic.twitter.com/baxPv8OmYu

Well, a stopped clock is right twice a day; so I suppose Didier Raoult can be correct occasionally.

The difference in how people respond to faked data is always so enlightening. This is what it looks like when someone who wants to know what is true finds out they got duped.
-
We actually don't know for sure if the data were faked, because no one can get access, but it's sure looking as though it was.

This is the virtue of science: it admits when it’s wrong. It’s a strength and not a weakness.
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Wow, Todaro & Raoult accusing Desai of malfeasance is truly some next level dystopian battle-of-the-cranks drama.https://www.wired.com/story/an-old-malaria-drug-may-fight-covid-19-and-silicon-valleys-into-it/ …

In my post, I do explain why I cited Todaro's blog post about Surgisphere, even though he's buddies with Raoult and obviously a
#Hydroxychloroquine true believer. Think of it as a humbling lesson not to dismiss your opponents too quickly when they criticize something. - Show replies
