Just a word. Although I first thought it was a DDoS attack, Cloudflare support says no. It's just a crapton of traffic. This post has gone viral in a way that (I think) no other post in my 15 year blogging career has. 1/https://twitter.com/angie_rasmussen/status/1258432843820089346 …

A crapton of new commenters have infiltrated, many of them
#COVID19 conspiracy theorists and Judy Mikovits fans. I haven't been able to moderate comments for a couple of hours now because I can't log onto WordPress. 3/Show this thread -

I'm just saying: Be patient. The wave of traffic will pass, and we'll have the blog reasonably functional again within a few hours, I hope. I'm also probably going to crosspost the post to @sciencebasedmedicine later or tomorrow. It can handle more traffic. 5/5

You may add the following Page Rules for immediate relief (replace domain name with yours). The downside is that comments added won't immediately show up.pic.twitter.com/zjt8eRlCJY

If you had Business plan, then it would be possible to modify these rules to immediately show new comments without waiting for cache to expire.
