As I said yesterday, an unholy alliance between #COVIDIOTS (a.k.a. #COVID19 #pandemic deniers) and #antivaxxers to oppose #StayAtHome orders through #ReopenAmericaNow is developing . These people are a horrifying threat to public health. #OperationGridlockhttps://sciencebasedmedicine.org/covid-19-pandemic-deniers-and-the-antivaccine-movement-an-unholy-alliance/ …

It's interesting how most of these conspiracy theorists seem to have culled and culminated into almost strictly alt-right Trumpers. Ten years ago if you asked me to show you an anti-vaxxer I would have pointed to the first liberal hippie with dreadlocks that walked by.

And you would have been wrong then, too. It's a myth that antivaxxers were primarily crunchy hippie-dippy lefties. That's never been true. Antivaccine beliefs are roughly equal on the left and right and have been for a long time.

It's OK. A lot of people believe the fallacy that antivaccine activism is primarily a left wing phenomenon.https://respectfulinsolence.com/2014/06/04/the-daily-show-hilarious-segment-about-vaccines-not-so-hilariously-wrong-about-the-politics-of-vaccine-denialism/ …

I like to point to the example of General Bert Stubblebine III’s Natural Solutions Foundation, which promoted "health freedom" decades ago. The right wingers who opposed vaccines tended to be the same people who opposed water fluoridation.
