I’d also say that when one is talking to Ingraham or a local news station, one should just assume that one’s credentials will be used to lend credence to the (likely inaccurate) story they’ve already decided to tell.

That’s not a bad strategy to be on guard against having your appearance misused. Fortunately, not all local stations are that way, but all propagandists like Ingraham are.
