BREAKING: A tiger at the Bronx Zoo has tested positive for Covid-19. 6 other tigers and lions at the zoo are also showing symptoms. Believed to have been infected by an asymptomatic zoo worker. All doing well. To my knowledge, this is the first animal to test positive in the U.S.

Is it Covid 19 or "normal" coronavirus found in animals other than human?

There's also a paper in bioRxiv that hasn't been reviewed where the authors test cats, dogs, and ferrets. Cats and ferrets catch it and dogs catch it but it doesn't do much? I don't really remember anything except that cats get it and apparently pass it by coughing.

I see no scientific value. Its mere hypothesis and correlation. Is the vet lab equipped to test this virus is another question?

It’s not a hypothesis. It happened.https://content.govdelivery.com/accounts/USDAAPHIS/bulletins/2850514 …
