There’s a reason they don’t want to provide high quality data. Its effect lies is in marginal pseudoscientific technique. Just like Vit C. Small series, bias, subgroup analysis, less severe disease etc., and the benefit disappears with control of bias.

Yep. For instance, that “positive” Chinese RCT claims to be double blind, but no placebo was used, and adequacy of blinding was not assessed. Patients and caregivers could easily have known if they were getting the drug or not.

Add to that the fact that several of the primary endpoints were subjective (e.g., patient-reported severity of cough), and the “positive” results are likely due to placebo effects.
