On Friday, Prof. Didier Raoult posted another study of azithromycin and hydroxychloroquine used against COVID-19. It is a single arm observational study of patients with mostly mild (or even asymptomatic) disease that is painfully uninformative.https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/hydroxychloroquine-and-azithromycin-versus-covid-19/ …

What about the Zelensky study? Larger and more recent. Quite impressive.

No. It’s not. It really isn’t. In fact it isn’t even a study.

Guess treating over 1000 patients with 0 deaths, 4 hospitalizations, 1 episode of respiratory failure is pretty impressive anecdotal information. One physician in NYC reported zero deaths since started using anti malarials. Studies are ongoing. Will be hard to get placebo pts.

It says one limitation of this study is that it only included those with mild disease.. Institutions, mine included are only reserving it for more severe cases.. Due to The shortage..

The worse thing that could happen is we waste less than $50 of meds per patient, there is and alternatively could save lives. SMH!
