This is one area where Australia is better than the US. Specifically the tipping part, I mean. Minimum wage workers still get jack all, but they get paid like they are being tipped.

I always tip ... tho I'm inconsistent in knowing what to tip. Do drivers get the same as waitresses? And, what do you do when there's clearly a "delivery fee" ... does this go to the driver? Should we deduct this amount from what we'd normally tip the driver? What about takeout?

Delivery fee doesn't go to the driver. Like Uber drivers I dont' think they even get reimbursed for fuel. THinking back to my academia institution, they only reimbursed me for driving to a conference... 58 cents a mile, and I guess vaguely covered depreciation?

We ordered takeout last night, and I added a 15% tip.

I always tip. if I can't hand the driver cash, I include it on the web app. They deserve a better wage, but as that's not on the cards just now, they need to be remembered by the customer.

20-25% right now upon deliveries. Every time. Even for grocery deliveries.
