On Friday, Prof. Didier Raoult posted another study of azithromycin and hydroxychloroquine used against COVID-19. It is a single arm observational study of patients with mostly mild (or even asymptomatic) disease that is painfully uninformative.https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/hydroxychloroquine-and-azithromycin-versus-covid-19/ …

It says one limitation of this study is that it only included those with mild disease.. Institutions, mine included are only reserving it for more severe cases.. Due to The shortage..

When was the last time you treated a critically ill patient and watched them die because you ran out of options? We treat patients not study results. Would be unethical to basically let someone die without trying a relatively safe option with questionable but reported efficacy.
