This is an excellent additional deconstruction of that awful #COVID19 hydroxychloroquine/azithromycin study by Didier Raoult. I've not changed my mind. This study goes beyond incompetence into the realm of likely scientific fraud.https://forbetterscience.com/2020/03/26/chloroquine-genius-didier-raoult-to-save-the-world-from-covid-19/ …

That's the problem. Unfortunately anecdotal evidence doesn't help, as the people might have gotten better on their own. Scientists are not trying to hinder a helpful medication, we are trying to stop fraudulent scientists from taking advantage of people during a pandemic.

This actually additionally supports my point. Governments and health authorities are relying on information from a fraudulent scientific paper to make decisions for an entire country. There definitely are other, properly conducted studies out there. Why not look at them?

There’s only one so far. It’s small and tested chloroquine. Chloroquine didn’t work. It’s possible that a beneficial effect will be seen in a larger trial, but we can say with some certainty that if chloroquine has any effect against #COVID19 the effect is not dramatic.
