From the last couple of days the hype over the Chloroquine (CQ) and Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) treatment for #COVID19 has bothered me a lot. So I have decided to dig into the available & published data. What is the evidence right now for treating #COVID19 patients with CQ or HCQ?

So what pilot trial is currently being done properly in the US for Covid 19?

There are at least three, based on a quick search of http://ClinicalTrials.gov .

Yes, a slapdash trial, BUT it stands on the shoulders of 15 - if my count is right - Chinese clinical trials + consensus recommendations. Do we discount those for being Chinese?
-
I've been unable to find the actual clinical trials. All I could find was a brief paper describing the recommendations. Have the data even been published yet?

And now New York is using these drugs in mass quantities. Guess the trial wasn't nearly as bad as you thought

New York State is to become a great experiment. Cuomo has been advised that it looks promising. https://www.newsday.com/news/health/coronavirus/bill-de-blasio-coronavirus-gov-andrew-m-cuomo-1.43379223 … via
