Part of it appears to being misreading an essay by my colleague & fellow contrarian, John Ioannidis. Many have taken the wrong message from his essay, which has some good points & some musings meant more as “food for thought”. The call for random sampling I agree w/ 100%. /4

Ioannidis’ article was the very epitome of the blind spots that a lot of EBM gurus have. Yes, we’re using incomplete and uncertain data to make decisions. Unfortunately, in real life we don’t have the luxury of waiting for better data. He also utterly ignored #FlattenTheCurve.
