Ibuprofen is the med I am using to manage my as-yet undiagnosed back injury and whiplash pain. I am in isolation as is my partner. Ibuprofen is keeping me able to do stuff other than whimper & writhe in pain flat on my back, so unless I get known exposure I am taking my chances.

I see no actual WHO document supporting this report, and have yet to see any evidence beyond theoretical mechanism. We're still providing it for routine pain control.

That sciencealert post is a third hand account of what some communicator said at a meeting, not an official recommendation. Recent news summary: https://www.bbc.com/news/51929628 (still may or may not indicate the same thing).
