Apparently differences in susceptibility influenced by blood type have been observed in Norwalk virus, hepatitis B and the original SARS, as well. It didn't say if original SARS was nastier in people with Type A blood.

Interesting but should this come to the attention of the general public who are panicky and unable to process this type of information without going to extremes? Who knows what these idiots will do with this information.

It's not as though it can be kept secret once published, and I don't support withholding scientific studies.

That’s great news!! Not only does having an autoimmune disease and being in chemotherapy and immunotherapy make me high risk - now my blood type possible does too! And I am a nurse! Yay!! It’s like I won the COVID-19 lottery!

Other issues also being suggested, although not proven: ACE and ARB meds for hypertension. There is a wealth of information to be mined. What a role for AI in searching for patterns!
