Grifters gonna grift, and antivaxxers gonna spread antivax propaganda. @delbigtree just wasted @CDCgov's time and resources with an abusive, deceptive FOIA lawsuit by his antivax propaganda org @ICANdecide that proves nothing. For shame!https://respectfulinsolence.com/2020/03/10/del-bigtree-wastes-the-cdcs-time-during-the-covid-19-pandemic-with-an-abusive-foia-lawsuit/ …

I'm afraid you're wrong here. Ensuring that an agency is meeting its statutory obligations is not just a valid reason for submitting a FOIA, it goes to the heart of why FOIA exists. Yes, they're antivax loons, but they're asking a valid question. CDC was obliged to answer.

Actually, my response was based on their first FOIA suit, here: https://vaccine.guide/misconduct/department-of-health-and-human-services/ican-hhs-lawsuit/ … Looking at their second suit now.

Yeah, so? I agree it's a pretty crappily-conceived FOIA; I agree that they're spinning the settlement into something it's not. That doesn't make it abusive, or wrong as you assert. I would've denied a la Triestman v. DOJ (not a research service) but that doesn't make it abuse.

Sure it does. It was dishonestly conceived solely to try to create antivax propaganda talking points against the CDC, and if CDC has tried ro reject it it would’ve looked even worse.
