I’ve almost had this happen more times than I can remember, and I don’t have a 15” MacBook Pro, which is what this computer appears to have been. I have a 13” MacBook Pro. I work on a tablet rather than laptop on planes so I've never run into that issue. But I always expect the person ahead of me to recline their seat.

It happened to my iPad, so can happen to tablets. The iPad was strong enough not to fold but it got jammed in the seat
