Don’t panic. Doctors/ virologists I’m speaking to say 98% of people will be fine, even if they get Covid-19. They expect it will go around the world, but that most people who get it will be a little sick, then recover. The danger is to vulnerable people. Hospitals/ old age homes.

I am not big into panic mode - but, I’ll be honest - as an immunocompromised individual, it is scary to me.

I am too (in chemo) and the current administration being involved in this crises is far more concerning than my own healt, though my concern/POV of course is informed by that context. So many have no idea of the most basic everyday threats, much less during a crisis

And when it does, the mortality rate will rise, because some of those in the ICU would have died without access to that kind of care.

Agree 100%. It can still be delayed by restricting/ quarantining from high risk areas and possibly contained. The economic costs of travel restrictions is far better than the alternative which is allowing the virus to run rampant as contact tracing will no longer be possible.
-
Agree on beginning quarantine NOW, in hope of delaying. We're past containing it.That was possible in Wuhan in late Dec, when CCP chose NOT to close the wet market despite knowing the source. They had 2 or 3 wks when they could've contained it. Too late now.

Thank you, Dr. Gorski, We need the truth so we can self-educate, make good decision, and put preventions in place, but there's nothing we can do to prevent overwhelming our healthcare providers. How do we find out about their contingency plans?
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
