I've lost more than 20 pounds and huge strides controlling my blood sugar with portion control. IF might be better for some people, but it isn't for me.

Portion control, calorie counting, and exercise have allowed me to drop over 40 lbs. in a year and a half. Now that I’ve finally hit my target weight, things are getting...interesting...as I try to figure out how much I can eat without starting to gain the weight back.

Portion control and giving myself enough time to eat in (ie: not being in a hurry) have done wonders.

One thing today really helped was bringing lunch to work and not going to the food court every day, as I did for far too long. It’s much cheaper, too.
