The point is that there are many ways to skin the proverbial cat of achieving universal health insurance, single payer being only one possible solution and not even the one most commonly utilized around the world. The above list deceptively implies all those countries use #M4A.

Moroever, even in Canada the Medicare system is not totally "national." Rather, it consists of 13 provincial and territorial health insurance plans that operate under guidelines set by the federal government. That's more like Medicaid in the US than Medicare.

I only see two - Canada and South Korea (Taiwan isn’t included). All the others have some version of a multi-payer model.

All of those countries have better systems than Obamacare. Obamacare is not an end point to celebrate. It falls short on many important moral, outcome, and fiscal measures.

In New Zealand everyone has access to a free public hospital system. Seeing a General Practitioner is about $19 for adults & free for under 14. There is a private system you can pay into if you dont want to wait for hip replacements etc. It works pretty well. You cant sue here
