I also got my hepatitis A vaccines because I’m in healthcare and there’s been a big outbreak in SE Michigan, an MMR booster because I’m in the age range where I might not be immune, and the shingles vaccine because I’m over 50.https://twitter.com/HislopMD/status/1227062041887694848 …

Anti-vaxxers: “I bet doctors wouldn’t take all ‘72 doses’ on the vaccine schedule!! 😫”... Actually Sparky, except for not-yet-invented varicella, rotavirus, & pneumo, I had ‘em all... ...plus yellow fever, typhoid, an extra hepB dose, & 17 flu shots. 🤨

Policy here is shingles at 70... I front up for all available and recommended vaxxes every year. there is a reason... I have seen people die of the flu.. I was brought up in a world where every class had a polio child.. every school had a polio death

I'm not a doctor. But I got a polio booster after getting the full series, the Hepatitis A and B vaccines, and the HPV vaccine, in addition to annual influenza. And my children are vaccinated above schedule.

My kids got a few of their vaccinations a little later due to other health issues or me waiting to see any side effects of brand new vaccines, but they got all of them by the time they were 15. And now as adults they are getting their boosters.

Oh, and given my age - and yours - we both likely had OPV and DTP - and I know I had smallpox. Those three have more moderate to severe risks than the entire modern childhood schedule (which is not 72 vaccines) together. It's not just about number of doses.

A friend of mine has an autoimmune disease that kept her from getting a flu shot. She got the flu a couple weeks ago, followed by a lung infection, which worsened to the point that she is now on life support. She "coded" whatever that means. Keep up the good fight on vaccines.

Coded means she needed CPR to revive her. I’m so sorry :(

I had my Tdap, Hep A series, Hep B series HPV series, a second MMR, Meningitis and annual flu shot every year for 10 years. I am not a doctor, but I am a big fan of not getting sick.

I had Hep A 36 years ago when I was 12. Being a teacher I’m vaccinated for B, but not A. Should I get vaccinated for A even though I already had it?
