There’s a difference between autism DIAGNOSES and autism cases. What has happened is that autism diagnoses have skyrocketed, thanks to screening, widening of the diagnostic criteria, and diagnostic substitution. https://twitter.com/KassandraKitson/status/1226184917807226881 …

For those who don’t think that screening can have a huge effect on the measured incidence of a condition or disease, look at breast DCIS. Its incidence increased 16-fold between 1975-2005. That corresponds very closely to the initiation of widespread mammogram screening programs.

But what about their perfect kids. They don't want defective kids. 😵 (Same people are probably pro life).

Or, I guess the same applies to prostate cancer statistics in rich, milk drinking countries. It is not because of milk, it is because of doctors looking for and finding tumors.

Also, hardly anyone tested positive for BRCA mutations before 1996. Coincidence? I THINK NOT

True. Same for prostate cancer and PSA.

Yep! My interview with Dr. Gil Welch published at @SkeptInquirer. Welch said: "There is no known tumor biology or carcinogenic process that can explain this graph (...) I do not know of a more powerful example of how the health care system affects the apparent amount of cancer. "pic.twitter.com/S229K0CRVH
