No RCT EVER has shown that Tamiflu reduces mortality. Let’s talk about unfounded treatments peddled as life-saving when in fact are not backed by evidence. But don’t limit that to ‘alternative medicine’. Apply the same ruler to ‘conventional’ medicine.

But the story is about someone who supposedly died b/c wasn't administered the Tamiflu doc prescribed. That's clearly implied in the piece. It's a completely evidence-free assertion. I'm amazed that in 2020 there are still newspieces conveying Tamiflu as a life saver. It's not!pic.twitter.com/9itJHah5t1

It's very easy to attack antivaxxers and believe one is being brave. It's not. It's like catching fish in a barrel when doctors 'bravely' attack easy targets, but then ignore the pseudotherapies within Medicine. Tamiflu is one of those pseudotherapies. https://blogs.scientificamerican.com/cross-check/dear-skeptics-bash-homeopathy-and-bigfoot-less-mammograms-and-war-more/ …

You know nothing. Many of us have heard death threats for speaking out against antivaxxers. I’ve personally been harassed at work by antivaxxers trying to get me fired. They’ve threatened to protest me at work. I’m not by any means alone in this experience.

Finally, anyone who thinks combating antivax disinformation is “easy” or like “shooting fish in a barrel” only reveals his ignorance of antivax misinformation and the protean forms it takes.

For example, here’s a new antivax conspiracy theory about
#coronavirus. It takes knowledge of molecular biology in this case.https://respectfulinsolence.com/2020/01/31/2019-ncov-wuhan-outbreakdue-to-failed-coronavirus-vaccine/ …1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
Our self-righteous friend lecturing us seems to think that antivax misinformation is far more simple than it in fact is.
