Actually you should be most skeptical, when you are not following or believing the consensus of experts. Self skeptical. Are my instincts really right. How can all these people be wrong and I am right. (Think I am right) did I miss something

Yes (I know) that is close but this suggests to me a conflict between head and heart, gut vs brain. When we really know something isn't right, it starts as a feeling first. Cut to the chase, trusting the gut instinct takes courage and practice. Action is secondary
