Oh, I like all of them. I like dTAP because I have seen infants die of pertussis. I like Varivax because I've seen infants/toddlers go on ECMO from varicella pneumonia. I like influenza vaccine because I have had family die of flu while immunosuppressed. (1/2)

I like Hib because I have heard many horror stories of epiglottitis, and have seen sequelae of Hib meningitis. I like polio vaccine because I've cared for kids with accute flacid paralysis - it's not polio, but with similar consequences. HPV presents cancer. Do we have to pick 3?

Mine is an oral Enteric disease vaccine- because I helped make it! But close second is HPV because it "cures cancer(tm)" and smallpox because it is the daddy of all vaccines.

I mean, I did my dissertation on MCV/MMR, so I think it’s totally normal to have a favorite vaccine, but somehow I don’t think that’s quite what his point is.

Just been teaching about the effects of smallpox and measles in the early modern British and Irish Isles today. All vaccines are my favourite.
