A child develops cancer. With treatment he has an 85% chance of surviving it, 0% without treatment. The parents decide to treat the child with prayer instead of medicine. Are you honestly saying the state should let this child die of medical neglect? You’re OK with that? I’m not.

No one—no one—says that the state does own your children. But the state DOES have a duty to step in to protect the children when the parents will not.
