You likely know my answer to this question.https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/is-defending-science-based-medicine-worth-it/ …
I'm not familiar enough with the whole story to know what you're talking about, but basically all he said was that he was attacked on Twitter after an appearance on BBC Radio 4. He never said anything about "anti-psychiatry."

There is a large population of patients injured by
#psychiatric drugs on Twitter. As the general population does, some behave trollishly. This is not an anti-science ideology. However,@sameerjauhar provokes such with his own pokes on Twitter, expanded inhttps://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/bjpsych-bulletin/article/ideology-over-evidence/2C152155CFAECC6CF5215F19E5D6A015 … -
And then he goes whinging to
@timeshighered! This encapsulates the row among@sameerjauhar#psychiatrist colleagues https://twitter.com/HengartnerMP/status/1217877777979977728 … It is Dr. Jauhar's faction that slings names on social media against those who dissent from their approved narrative.

One thing about social media, you need to understand not everyone follows Internet etiquette, that's why "mute" & "block" were invented. Not every mudstorm on social media is a plot, and not every outcry against this or that medical treatment is anti-science. (Some are, though.)
