WTF is wrong with @serwer and @YahooFinance, giving voice to antivaccine crank @RobertKennedyJr, as though his antivaccine views have any scientific validity whatsoever? At one point the chyron even says "RFK Jr on his passion for vaccine safety advocacy."https://finance.yahoo.com/news/robert-kennedy-jr-on-climate-change-140205979.html …

There is no
big enough to express how wrongheaded this is. Beginning around 18:08 in the video, RFK Jr. spews essentially unchallenged easily refuted antivaccine tropes, disinformation, pseudoscience, and talking points. @serwer was clearly overmatched and underprepared. 2/1 reply 2 retweets 10 likesShow this thread -
This is the worst. It's not even "letting both sides speak." It's letting an antivaccine crank use
@serwer and@YahooFinance to spew antivaccine disinformation of the most vile type. I laughed when@RobertKennedy claimed that he's "not antivaccine." 3/https://respectfulinsolence.com/2017/12/15/robert-f-kennedy-jr-anti-vaccine-not-fiercely-pro-vaccine/ …1 reply 2 retweets 12 likesShow this thread -
Antivaxxers often claim they're "not antivaccine" but rather "vaccine safety advocates." Jenny McCarthy used to make that same claim. It's utter bullshit. If they were vaccine safety advocates, they would target only certain vaccines that they consider unsafe. 4/

Replying to @gorskon
"vaccine safety advocates" instead of "antivax" is their new PR move. Yes, it IS bullshit.

It's not new. It dates back at least to Jenny McCarthy back in 2008. It's still infuriating, though.

Ever since Wakefield, I try not to hear what they're selling, I guess!
