That's why I always tell anyone who wants to remain pseudonymous: Your pseudonym has to be bulletproof, with no way to trace your social media activities to you. Antivaxxers are relentless. Harassment at your place of work is their stock and trade. 2/

They're also very good at doxxing. If you become effective countering their misinformation, pseudoscience, and lies, they will try to out you. If there is a chink in your armor of anonymity/pseudonymity, they WILL find it, and they WILL succeed in outing you. 3/3

ADDENDUM: One other thought. Just to give you an idea how relentless they are, the way I was outed was from a Usenet post of mine from years before I started my blog in which I had an email address with "Orac" in it. 3a/3

It's a sick game for antivaxxers like they are heros in an Ayn Rand book.

There are also a bunch of bunk reviews on Google I have been reporting. This is totally unacceptable but then again it’s AV loons we are dealing with.

Never met a doctor who’s shy about pushing vaccines or scolding parents for questioning vaccines. In Canada our public health system admits to 1/100000 adverse reactions but our paediatricians and family doctors insist on 100% safety. Creative approach to reverse psychology

-
You do realise 1/100000 = 0.001%? If a doctor says safety = 100% they are technically correct. Rounding up a number like 99.999% is perfectly acceptable. How many decimal points do you need? For example, how many decimal points do most people quote for Pi?

I remember this, David. Awful. But - on the upside - I loved Orac and his musings/ writings and was happy to meet the person behind the legend.
