In this specific case, it was a proatate CA patient who bled profusely after prostatectomy, failed bilat internal iliac coiling/embolization by IR and required emergent take back by a combined Gen Surg/Urology team.

There certainly wasn't agreement at the time, though they ended up tossing the blood out out of caution. Would love to hear from SurgOnc/MedOnc/Trauma-ACS
