It's one thing if antivaxxers protest at a public event where I'm speaking or appearing. Them's the risks provaccine advocates take by speaking publicly, unfortunately. It's quite another if they bother my patients or the patients of my colleagues. That, I can't tolerate.
And if antivaxxers plan on harassment in person at work no matter what I do anyway, I’d rather it be over something other than a possibly overly sarcastic Tweet, something such as a substantive takedown of the misinformation spread by one of their heroes.

I commend you for that decision. I know that they’ll support you if they show up though. They know that you take good care of them.
So would the administration. They support a scientist who gets fairly regular protests by animal rights activists, and antivaxxers are so much worse.
