I could see it being useful if it was a heavily moderated debate with strict rules about only allowing scientifically credible evidence to support your position (no anecdotes or unproven conspiracies as "evidence") and if a score was displayed making it clear who was winning.

Studies have shown that even when false information is shown to debunk said Faldo info, it winds up spreading it anyway.
