Average life expectancy of a person with autism: 36 yrs old. Deaths from 2019 🇺🇸 measles outbreaks: 0. (Collateral “damage”: lifelong immunity.) #vaccineswork! No reason for nasty anti-parent hysteria. I vaccinate. You do too. Show kindness to vaccine-injured families.

Here is the study she referenced for this figure in her blog post. Spoiler alert: she is using the data incorrectly.https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5388960/ …

I am much more worried about the Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist reporting this. I am assuming they read odds ratios or data during study period and mistakenly generalized. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/caring-autism/201810/early-death-in-those-autism-spectrum-disorder …

Life expectancy for someone with autism and cognitive disability is under 40. This includes a 40% increase in dying prematurely of a neurological condition. https://www.healthline.com/health-news/why-people-with-autism-die-at-younger-age#1 …

And who could forget the nearly 40x increase in likelihood for an autistic child to die prematurely of an injury?https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2017/03/21/health/autism-injury-deaths-study/index.html?__twitter_impression=true …

This has the same issues as the other study addressed above. These secondary (mis)reads do not address the points raised.

Oh good grief!!!! How could she misread or misquote where it says that people with autism die 35.8 years *younger* than the general population? Either a fundamental error or a deliberate attempt to mislead.
