I despise grammar pedantry. If your response to one of my Tweets is nothing more than a flame over a spelling/autocorrect/predictive typing or grammar error, there is a non-zero chance I will block you. The magnitude of that chance depends on how much you annoy me otherwise.

Unfortunate. Attention to grammar is important. I would think it correlates to attention to detail and facts.

Maybe but I doubt it. How many pedants do you know that actually go and check whether their prejudice has any rational basis? Detail, yes; facts, not necessarily.

I just wouldn’t be so dismissive of attention to detail. That’s all.

Bloody hell, it's not about "attention to detail." It's about one-upmanship, showing off, and putting someone down. It's about being an asshole. If you think that these spelling/typo/grammar pedants actually care one whit about "attention to detail" you're deluded or one of them.

Exactly. Unless you're obsessive about checking each word of each Tweet before it goes out, at the very minimum, autocorrect/predictive typing mistakes will creep in. For some reason my autocorrect often turns "with" to "work." I don't always notice in time.
