I despise grammar pedantry. If your response to one of my Tweets is nothing more than a flame over a spelling/autocorrect/predictive typing or grammar error, there is a non-zero chance I will block you. The magnitude of that chance depends on how much you annoy me otherwise.

Also, if you reply to me taking me to task for "arguing with bots" I will very likely hide your reply, but not block you. (At least I won't block you the first time you do it. After that, no guarantees. The considerations of the Tweet above will influence my decision.)

I'm actually wearing a shirt that says, "I'm silently correcting your grammar."

Complaining about grammar is sometimes a sign that people cannot find any substantive objection on the science.

I mean, if they start with "*they're" (I highly doubt you'd get that one wrong though) and follow with a really good argument, I would probably let it go. But if all the person does is throw grammar snark back at you, I agree.

In an on-line dispute, my protagonist ran out of argument and told me I was “totally incompetAnt”. Couldn’t let that one go (despite my attempt to retain the high moral ground). So obvious typos ought to be forgiven, but ambiguity always ought to be questioned.
