So an NP has more education on adolescent medicine than a pediatrician who went to four years of medical school and completed a 3 year long residency?

Education doesn’t guarantee competence or define ability.

Oh wait gorski. You’re a surgeon. You obviously have zero respect for medical specialties, or PCPs. Figures.

Way to fall off the high horse on the high road with that ad hominem.

This argument has never been about the individual. It’s always been about a false narrative being pushed for political and financial interests. It’s the Fact that there is an intent to deceive. Nursing is NOT Medicine. Not one day in Med School. Not disparaging.. just a fact

Dr. Gorski, I know you didn't mean it this way, but this tweet can be seen as quite disparaging to pediatricians (who are all trained in ADHD). Especially since many of them fight for vaccines and against quacks hurting their kids every day, and are your strong supporters.

I think he meant exactly what he wrote. Dr Gordki doesn’t mince words.

I generally agree with you, but not here. The PNPs I work with don’t even want to treat ADHD. Unfortunately, not every pediatrician is comfortable treating it either but I’ve been doing it over 20 years. Along with depression, anxiety, etc.

How do you know your wife is the one who knows how to prescribe adhd meds? Maybe she’s wrong.
