No, in such a case, the state has not only the right, but the obligation, to step in and see that the child gets proper medical care. Ditto in the case of a child with cancer whose parents are treating him with homeopathy instead of science-based oncology care.

I see several sides to this. One, that of the child, who (one expects) wants to live. One of the parents, who would rather the child's body due and her soul be saved than have her damned. A third, sacrificing the cost of caring for one child to keep the rest alive...
