No, pediatricians are not profiting by administering vaccines, contrary to antivaxxer claims.https://twitter.com/TheKidKidDoc/status/1209251416029704192 …

In Ohio, providers who see patients on Medicaid (majority of my patients) receive ZERO DOLLARS for providing vaccines to them. We bear the cost of storage and administration because it’s the right thing to do. #PutKids1st #VaccinesWork pic.twitter.com/HMQHBD1jyk

Not sure what your point is, but anti-vaxxers rarely have one. That’s about $20 per vaccination. With that they have to cover expenses of supplies (syringes, bandages, etc), storage, salaries, and overhead. Accounting matters.

Antivaxxers alway act as though it's a *bad* thing that some insurance companies incentivize proper science-based preventative care.

Yup. Because the insurance companies know that getting a child fully immunized saves them potentially thousands of dollars in PICU and NICU stays. Healthcare insurers are brutally goal-oriented about saving money.

Indeed. And if vaccines truly were causing autism, autoimmune diseases, etc., you can bet that insurance companies would most definitely NOT be incentivizing vaccination, because that'd cost them a lot of money over the long haul.

Within their logic it would be. It is a valid conclusion that incentivizing a bad action would be bad. It's their premise that vaccinations are bad that is false and makes their argument unsound.

And then they turn around and try to exploit their friends and family by recuiting them into whatever new-age, woo pyramid scheme they became apart of this week.
