Yep. I Iost 35 lbs. and counting over the last year or so by ruthlessly counting calories using and app (and exercising). I have to put certain things in life on autopilot, otherwise making important decisions becomes even harder. When I was seriously training for weightlifting (2-3 hr/d) I still could only eat about 2200 calories and lose weight. Also, I find good sleep is key to impulse control.
