David Gorski, MD, PhD Retweeted Dr. Mom wants GOF research banned

No, not really. Younger Boomers were the first to receive the measles vaccine, and children did die of measles before that. Also, “natural herd immunity” isn’t a thing. If it were, there wouldn’t have been so many millions of cases of measles before the vaccine.🙄https://twitter.com/drmom5/status/1203844601280450560 …

"Literally" OK Millennial. Literally all the Boomers survived measles. Herd immunity only comes from having had the disease, not from measles shots that last 7 years! You're a victim of pernicious propaganda. I'm immune deficient AND immune supressed.

Well, literally all living boomers survived measles. And cars. Children who died from measles (or car accidents) didn’t get to be boomers. So she doesn’t count them.

Perpetual misinformation from pharma fanatics .. We should know the difference, NO vaccines immunize your body, only your own built-in immune system does.https://twitter.com/BennyDRasmussen/status/1176428650268250113 …

Immunization vs Vaccination Immunization not to be confused with vaccination, they refer to two different things. We should know the difference, NO vaccines immunize your body, only your own built-in immune system does. Vaccination weakens your immune system. #WakeUp pic.twitter.com/nJgxNRlhcg

I'm always baffled by the "you only get immunity from having the disease" argument, because the whole point here is we want to *keep* people from having the disease. If you've gotten it, what's the point of immunity? Especially if it's killed you, blinded you, sterilized you...

Obvious point of order, if you get the disease you were obviously not immune to it.

I live in A2 where if you may recall there was someone with measles walking around--in front of my home no less. I was in the single shot cohort. I got my titers drawn. It was such a relief to come back positive. Everyone my age knows you can die of measles. Everyone.

My kids who live in A2 have a two month old. She can't go to her brothers' school for pick up and drop off. There is pertussis in the school system, as well. Not good for an infant. https://www.mlive.com/news/ann-arbor/2019/10/ann-arbor-school-district-confirms-eight-cases-of-whooping-cough-in-october.html …

David doesn’t know that the term ‘herd immunity’ originated in the non vaxed camp! It was never associated with vaccines until they bastardised that term and turned it into an impossibility that is proven untrue! (Look up the mumps outbreak on the navy ship of 100% compliance)
