I did my surgery residency at this hospital. It disappoints the hell out of me to see my surgical alma mater promoting quackery. I might have forgiven saying acupuncture works for pain (it doesn’t), but acupuncture does NOT prevent or treat colds and the flu. I’m so ashamed.

Acupuncture and similar useless interventions like cupping and ear candling deserve to be on the scrap heap, but somehow fools and con-artists seem to keep resurrecting them.

This specific issue aside, if there is a description of things as “prescientific” what is the date that science “began”? We have B.C. vs A.D. Can you define what the cut off date is for pre-science?

Thank you for showing your complete and total lack of knowledge of the human body and the universe, the micro and the macro. Free lesson: they both run on electricity (the east calls it Qi). Acupuncture channels electricity/energy to the broken circuit to heal it. It works.

We live in a sea of energy, both subtle and explosive. Acupuncture needles pull this ambient energy from the environment and send it where it needs to go.

Where did you go to medical school, Mars? It’s scary you do not comprehend connective tissue’s relationship to the nervous system, but in addition don’t understand how the immune system works.
