Hm.
Unfortunately as these cases are very, very rare (bc celebrities & winners of the Nobel-prize are correct about EVERYTHING!), there isn't a lot of experience available, when it comes to handling such cases with grace.

Actually, there seems to be a propensity for Nobel Laureates to embrace pseudoscience later in life: Luc Montagnier and homeopathy and autism quackery; Linus Pauling and high dose vitamin C for everything; Louis Ignarro and shilling for Herbalife. I call it the Nobel disease.

Sooo ... who is going to apply to the NIH for research funding? Because as we all know very well: correlation is not causation. And by now the sample must be sufficiently large to do a case-control-study. Maybe we can win our own (Ig)Nobel. https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Nobel_disease …
