May want to pass that tip on to Josh next time a woman tells him to stop following her and that she doesn't want to be filmed. #nomeansno

Yep, or the next time he harasses
@DrPaulOffit in a hospital cafeteria, or the next time someone like Austin Bennett attacks@DrPanMD on the street.https://respectfulinsolence.com/2019/08/22/austin-bennett-richard-pan/ …3 replies 2 retweets 8 likes -

The sad thing is that one day he will push someone too far, they will lash out and he will milk that for all its worth. He's an attention whore.

Remember when Dr. Offit got so upset in the hospital cafeteria? Antivaxers played the video to death for weeks. An angry or frightened reaction is EXACTLY what they are aiming for when they engage in these ambush "interviews." I'm sure they'd love it if a victim lashed out.

Of course, antivaxers don't want to get beaten up, but a victim of such ambush video interview tactics were to become so frightened or alarmed that he attacked, you can bet that antivaxers would use the video to portray pro-vaccine advocates as unhinged and/or violent.

I don't care for them at all, but some of the reactions at the protests (according to them) were pretty aggressive. I don't want anyone to get attacked but it's probably only a matter of time before someone goes off on one of them.

They use a variant of the same sort of tactics that the fascist Proud Boys use: Inflammatory protests and getting in people's faces designed to provoke a highly emotional response. Unlike the Proud Boys, I don't think antivaxers are intentionally provoking violence. However...

...antivaxers are playing with fire here. Human beings can only be pushed so far, and there are always humans with less self-control than average. When fight-or-flight responses kick in due to a perceived threat, the provoked person's reaction can be unpredictable.

Basically, if you intentionally provoke fear or anger in your target, for whatever reason (in this case, antivaxers want embarrassing footage of their targets to use against them), you take the risk of provoking too much fear or anger that results in worse than just yelling back.
